Scott just loves building aluminum guitars!

The Anniversary Stratocaster book is on schedule for publication in October 2018, and I'm just writing up my interview with Scott Buehl.

Scotty as he is known to his friends, is a guy who tends to work under the radar at the Custom Shop. Here he is exercising his problem solving skills, and building an instrument that was designed by a lucky competition winner. While the Splatocaster isn't an anniversary model, it certainly demonstrates what the Fender Custom Shop is capable of building.

Just one important point - please don't ask Scott to make you one. While he does love building aluminum guitars, and working with metal this is a task he doesn't want to repeat! :-)
