"Mean Gene" simply doesn't live up to his nickname! ;-)

While master guitar builder, musician and human dynamo Gene Baker might be known as "Mean Gene," in reality he's quite the opposite. I've just finished the draft chapter on Gene, and he sure does recall some interesting stories about the Fender Custom Shop in the 1990s. I've enjoyed getting to know Gene a little over the last few years, and besides building some stunning guitars this guy certainly knows how to play them. I know; I've seen him in action!
