It was an honor to speak with a member of Fender Royalty today. As most folks know, Abigail Ybarra started work at Fender in 1956 and there cannot be a more experienced pickup artist on the planet. The 'Queen of tone' who retired in 2013 kindly shared her memories with me and it was a real pleasure to listen to what she had to say. I can't wait to type it up!
